Greens and Gourmet - Vancouver -

It's a mystery to me why everytime I went to this restaurant it was empty. Greens and Gourmet might scare some people away with its old vegan hippie atmosphere, but who cares? Its buffet (pay-by-weight) has a huge variety of foods, and it's virtually impossible not to find something you like: they offer a variety of indian, mediterranean, italian and other fusion cuisines all mixed up for your delight.

It's spacious inside, and the tables are arranged in a way you don't need to ask people to stand up so you can pass, like you see in a lot of vegetarian restaurantes in this city, so the comfortableness factor really adds up. Not to mention its location: the nice neighborhood of Kitsilano.

And let's not forget to mention the price, which is pretty reasonable, even considering someone like myself, who usually eats at least two full plates. Greens and Gourmet is not vegan, but every food in the buffet has a label indicating whether it contains any dairy products.

Greens and Gourmet - recently closed in Kits and owner plans to relocate it.
