Apparently some people think fish grows on trees. That’s what I can assume by seeing all those restaurants that called themselves vegetarian but serve fish. Perhaps they think of “fruits de mer”. Would that explain the confusion of these weird people? Well, fortunately in Porto Alegre we have a vegan chef who doesn’t mix apples and oranges (although he could in some desserts). Diogo Celente is the responsible for Prana Sushi, the first and only vegan sushi in town.
“How about transgressing?” With this thought provoking question we are introduced to the mouth watering foods on Prana Sushi's website. The idea is cut out the fish from Japanese cuisine, making it totally vegetarian. If the variety of sushi options is amazing, even more impressive is the look of them, made with remarkable care and dedication. Besides the many kinds of sushi, at Prana Sushi you can also order yakisoba, gyoza and mochi. The dishes are only available on delivery, but once in a while you can try them at Café Bonobo, when “Japanese nights” are held there.
